The Real Story Behind Michael Roub

Michael Roub is a business management specialist with extensive experience in operations, development, acquisition, and finance. Having played key roles in administration and management throughout the years, he has been involved in virtually every aspect of business from starting up new enterprises to developing and expanding existing businesses.

He  is also an experienced investment banker whose main responsibilities included capital sourcing and generation, business restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions.

A graduate of the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, Michael graduated with honors with a Master of Business Administration, majoring in Finance and Accounting. He also attended Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Economics.

He  also develops systems for monitoring and tracking orders, inventories, and receivables for pharmaceutical products and services, and oversees account management and sales personnel with the goal of ensuring client growth and providing quality customer service.

As a partner in Laguna Surgical, LLC, Michael manages and oversees business operations for medical group affiliates, with a focus on diagnostic testing services. He is primarily tasked with coordinating tests for over 20 sites in Southern California, and manages sales representatives in order to expand the company’s client base, while himself identifying and securing additional opportunities in this area.

From 2008 to 2010, he served as the vice-president of business development at US Healthworks, a California-based firm. This position placed him in the lead role of acquisitions for the second largest occupational medicine provider in the country. During his tenure as vice-president at the firm, he secured contracts with more than 20 clinics in five states, while laying the groundwork for additional contracts.

He has also served as administrator for Specialty Surgical Center in its Encino, Westlake Village, and Arcadia branches.

He is a former collegiate football player who has always had a passion for sports and athletics. Despite not having any prior running experience, he trained with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in preparation for the San Francisco Nike Marathon in 2007. He has since participated in several marathons, including the Great Race of Agoura 5K, the City of Angels Half Marathon, the Los Angeles Rock’n’Roll Halloween Half Marathon, and the San Diego Rock’n’Roll Marathon in 2012.
